Who We Are
The South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe (JDLH) is a state-funded, public residential high school focused on providing a unique and challenging agricultural education program. Our school, the first statewide program of its kind in the nation, allows students to receive hands-on training in agriculture, agribusiness, forestry, land management, food science, and more. All of this is focused on meeting the needs of modern farms and growing the future leaders in South Carolina's largest industry.
Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe and premier educational experience that produces global leaders in agriculture, forestry, natural sciences, and related industries, by equipping our students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in their careers and contribute to the advancement of the agricultural industry through hands-on learning, research, innovative teaching, community outreach, and real-world experiences.
Vision
Our vision is to become a powerhouse in the agricultural community by producing college and career-ready graduates who are resilient, well respected, and trend-setting leaders, supported by a continually advancing environment with state-of-the-art, research-based facilities that provide robust, service-driven learning experiences.
